A Stitch in Time Quilt Shoppe
Hi, my name is Nicole Driggs, and I am the owner of A Stitch in Time Quilt Shoppe.
I grew up in Utah, where I first learned about quilting from my sitter. She always had a quilt stretched on a frame at her house, and I have such fond memories of playing underneath the quilts while the “old ladies” sat around stitching, visiting, and laughing. We really do need to bring that back — the adventures we had as children under those quilts were pure magic.
The first quilt I ever made was for my high school boyfriend, who is now my husband. I’m happy to say I’ve improved quite a bit since then.
My husband, Adam, and I have four children — two girls and two boys — and somehow they all grew up much too fast. We lived in Arizona for 16 years before making our way to Washington. As a family, we had been vacationing in the Pacific Northwest for about 10 years and fell in love with the area, so in 2017 we bought a vacation home here. In May 2020, we decided to make the move permanent.
I told my husband I needed to find my people here, and what better way to do that than by opening a quilt shop? We opened on October 31, 2020, and moved into our beautiful remodeled space on March 16, 2021.
These days, my husband and I split our time between Washington and Utah so we can spend more time with our parents and family in Utah, which has been such a blessing.
My husband and kids have been incredibly supportive through all of this, and I wanted to share them with you. This is us!
