As quilters we make quilts of various sizes. Many of us stitch our assembled quilt sandwiches on our sewing machines. That’s not a problem for baby and youth sized quilts. But machine quilting a larger quilt can be tough. It can be done, but oh my – the aching arms and shoulders.
One way to make this task easier is to machine quilt in sections. You piece your quilts in sections, then quilt them that way too. This class will teach you several joining techniques to stitch your quilts in smaller, more manageable segments on your sewing machine. You will also learn how to use a narrow quilting ruler to quickly stitch a straight line, square, or diamond pattern on your quilt sandwich.
