Beginning Quilting with Rachel

Join us for three sessions where you will learn the basics of quilting. You will be making a pattern designed especially for you by the instructor. Class will cover quilting tools, choosing fabrics, proper cutting and pressing techniques, how to achieve an accurate 1/4 inch seam, as well as how to quilt and bind your finished top. 

Skill Level: Beginner
Skill Details: This class is for the Beginner, skills will be learned in class!
Materials Included: Pattern
Requirements: Working Sewing Machine (Please bring your manual) with 1/4 inch foot Good Quality Piecing Thread Fabric (Bring with you or purchase during class) Rotary Cutter Self-Healing Cutting mat (some will be available in class to share) Quilting Rulers (some will be available in class to share) Fabric Scissors Pins Seam Ripper Quilting Gloves (Optional) Curved Quilt Basting Safety Pins --Ironing boards and irons will be provided to share. You may bring your own ironing pad and small iron if you wish. --Feel free to bring your own lunch or snacks.
