Bedazzling Butterfly
Using only one yard of a symmetrical print fabric, you will create your original Bedazzling Butterfly. Select your butterfly from a choice of six different patterns. No machine required for class. Instructor-selected appropriate fabrics will be available for purchase.

| Requirements: | --*1 yard of a large, colorful symmetrical print. Look for a fabric with a mirror image that has identical motifs reflecting each other. Large symmetrical motifs that can be cut in half to reflect each other will also work. Select a fabric that has more motif than background, but still has some solid or small print/texture that reads like a solid. --*Applique Pressing Sheets (to protect both iron and ironing board) --*1 yd of Heat and Bond Lite fusible. --1 sheet of Parchment Paper appx. 15 x 18 --Black marking pen --Pins --Small sharp fabric scissors --Tweezers --Small wood skewer (opt.) --Foam board or surface to stick pins into, approx. 20 inch x 24 inch --Small 1 inch tip wand iron (opt.); bring it if you have one --Applique scissors (opt,); bring them if you have them --NO sewing machine necessary --Ironing boards and irons will be provided to share. You may bring your own ironing pad and small iron if you wish. --Feel free to bring your own lunch or snacks. *Items marked with an asterisk are eligible for 10% discount. |
