Beginning Paper Piecing - Valentines Heart w/Arrow Class--Mary

In this session, you will learn how to create the Valentine’s Heart with Arrow block. This versatile design looks stunning whether you use solids or prints for your fabrics, and it even provides the opportunity for a little fussy cutting to add a personalized touch.
Once you’ve completed your block, consider making a few more to and transform them into placemats, a table runner, or charming little bags that are perfect for holding Valentine treats.

| Requirements: | Supplies Needed: Pattern -- Purchase, download and print Valentine’s Heart with Arrow pattern from DuringQuietTime.com (size 10x10) Carol Doak Foundation Paper will be provided with registration Working & Familiar Sewing machine, with manual 50 wt sewing machine thread #75 or #80 machine needle Add a quarter Plus ruler Scissors Seam Ripper Pins Wonder Clips Glue Stick or double-sided craft tape that releases easily Rotary Cutter Small cutting mat (if you have one for personal use)--there is a big one in the classroom 12-inch quilting ruler or larger (whatever you have) Fat Quarters or large scraps for the background and heart, one or two for the arrow Colored pencils or crayons to match your fat quarters Don't forget your lunch, water, and a sweater as the classroom can be chilly! |
