Working with Marsha, you will learn how to identify a balanced border print; the best border prints for this technique; how to cut your fabrics for maximum use and minimum waste; plus much more. You will even be making a bonus table runner from your scraps utilizing the 60 degree triangle ruler.

Requirements: | *1 yard (minimum) of a balanced border print fabric. -- If you have a border print that you feel would work, please bring it to the class. If it ends up not working for this technique, there will be fabric to purchase from either the store or from my stash. Sewing machine (and manual) Quarter inch foot *6 X 24 inch Ruler or equivalent *Smaller ruler for trimming *Thread for piecing (If you don't have your fabric prior to class, you might want to bring a couple of choices.) Instructor Bio: | Marsha, a retired Dental Receptionist and Dental Assisting instructor, has been quilting for over 20 years and is always looking for new ways to use everyday fabrics. She and a friend took the Three Dudes Pattern and developed this technique using border prints. Between the two of them, they have created several of these quilts. Marsha has shown many people how to do this technique and now she wants to share it with you! She has been married to her High School Sweetheart for 48 years and has two grown children and three grandsons. She has always told people that she taught her daughter to sew then her daughter taught her to quilt. It is an ongoing adventure. |
