Learn Sashiko with Linda - 2 Day Class

Sashiko (“little stabs”) is a form of decorative reinforcement stitching (or functional embroidery) from Japan. Traditional Sashiko was used to reinforce points of wear, or to repair worn places or tears with patches.

Join Linda for a two-day Sashiko class/workshop. We will learn the history, unique tools, and the process of creating a finished Sashiko project. Students will practice two types of Sashiko.

During these two days, you will practice stitching and then work on three small projects: a traditional Japanese cleaning cloth, a small coaster, and a practice piece.
