Journal Quilt Explorations - Improv Log Cabin with Carol



This is going to be a fun class! We all have those panels we've purchased and then set aside wondering what to do with them. Now you know! They are perfect for an Improv Log Cabin quilt. Carol will help you with colors and design ideas that will bring your improv project to life. This class is perfect for those panels with multiple mini-designs or you can just fussy-cut your favorite parts and make a whole new design. This class is also a stash buster! Skill Level: Beginner
Skill Details: Must be able to sew an accurate seam and use a rotary cutter
Materials Included: Materials needed, but not supplied are:
Requirements: Fabric:

Choose a focus fabric with at least four different motifs that you can cut for your blocks. Centers should be at least 3" x 3", but can be rectangular or cut with three to six sides!
Choose at least 8-12 fabrics that can be used as "logs." These can be scraps that are at least 2" wide or even multiple pieces sewn together.

Working & familiar sewing machine with manual
Basic sewing supplies (scissors, pins, seam ripper)

Quarter-inch foot for your sewing machine
